Bubbo Waffle serves bubble waffle (aka egg waffle or eggettes), a spherical egg-based waffle originating from Hong Kong. In Cantonese, it is named “gai daan jai”, which literally translates to “little chicken eggs”. It is a widely popular street snack since 1950s and is ranked no.1 in a 100 most popular Hong Kong’s Street Snack Listing.
Bubble Waffle is golden cake of miniature egg-shaped balls attached to each other like a piece of oversized bubble wrap. It is feather-light and semi-hollow, with a thin, brittle crust on the outside that gives way to spot of soft-n-chewy in the centre; it is best served and often eaten plain.
